The fans here are fondly known as “Cheeseheads” named for the fact that this region of the U.S. is famous for their cheese. Obviously, a nice day trip would include watching a game, if you have the chance. However, if you can’t get to a game, they do have the option for interested individuals to see their training camp during the late summer.

2. As mentioned before, the state of Wisconsin is known for its’ dairy products, especially cheese. There is a variety of factories still making their own cheese all over the state. If you are really intrigued by this, you can always take a tour of one of the factories. There are also numerous types of cheese and wine tastings throughout the spring and summer, so this is another great option for fun.

3. There is also a large Dutch and German immigrant population in some of cities such as Sheboygan. Each summer, there are lots of festivals in this part of the state to celebrate the history of hundreds of the city’s inhabitants.

4. Wisconsin is known for its’ famous beer production factories. Several popular American beers at least had their beginnings in Wisconsin cities. Visitors and Wisconsin citizens can almost always tour the breweries or take part in one of the many beer tastings throughout the state.

5. Finally, the city of Sheboygan is also home to a famous plumbing supply producer, which has aided the region as far as gaining notoriety with a special golf course which has hosted many tournaments for the PGA tour. Because of this, the city also has a beautiful park situated on the beach of Lake Michigan, where people can walk along the boardwalk during the spring and summer months.

The main things most individuals hear about Wisconsin are that it is cold and they produce cheese and beer. The state of Wisconsin, however, is known for plenty else than just those things. It has an NFL team that continues to play extremely well year after year. The state has lots of very nice state and local parks. It has had the opportunity to be influenced by Dutch and German immigrants. And, of course, the state has hundreds of breweries and cheese farms and factories. Contrary to what some might tell you, this state is a wonderful place to visit. If someone gives you the opportunity to tour the state, you should take the chance for sure.
