Some years ago, when I came out, I started hearing the term gay blog. My mind was bombed with new suggestions;places where I thought intercourse was involved. I imagined, that some of these bloggers were looking for others. Quite amazing, this wasn’t what LGBT blogs turned out to be about.

To put it simple, a gay blog is designed to be used by homosexual people. Gay bashings and politics appear on some of these gay blogs. The variety of blogs out there for gay people are astonishing. Gay people may have the same sexual orientation, but they certainly don’t share the same range of interests. There are blogs online for people of each possible interest area, some are designed for heterosexuals, others for homosexuals.

Contrary to popular belief, not all LGBT blogs are about sex. Of course, some are, some straight blogs are about intercourse, but does that mean they all are? No. A blog is a blog and it’s designed for a certain kind of individuals. The blog’sauthor can be homosexual, but this doesn’t translate to being pervert. Many perverts are straight.

A popular homosexual blog, titled “Wicked Homosexual Weblog” is funny and also has news included in it. Most of the news on this website are about homosexual rights in The United States of America and close to the world. The author of this blog has a wicked sense of humor and appears to enjoy using humor as much as possible. It doesn’t hurt, that he is a great copywriter and keeps everything light and entertaining. He also appears to have a never ending supply of ideas for new blog topics or just new pictures, that are so enjoyable to peek at from time to time.

“Steve Charing Out spoken” is another example of a homosexual blog. This specific homosexual blog is all about politics, mainly within Maryland, but also close to the US. It speaks out for the gay community and believes gay rights are a major concern of modern society. This blog is neither funny, nor sexual; it’s all about the facts and it’s triumphs and failures as it fights for gay rights.

David Hyde Pierce, also known as Niles Crane has a blog for expressing his anger over California repelling the right for gay marriage. He and his partner have been together for 25 years and in the short two weeks gay marriage was legal in California, the pair wed. Pierce is still angry about the state removing the law. He speaks out, but doesn’t want to draw the media’s attention.

Celebrities or the neighbor’s dog walker may also have a homosexual blog. The web provides you a voice to speak up or speak out. This is exactly what many LGBT blogs do. They may be for fun, but they’re also a way for the authors to express themselves and this holds truth for several different kinds of blogs, not just homosexual blogs.

Gay blogs aren’t exactly what they seem like, they’re blogs designed for the gay community. Blogs themselves haven’t yet developed sexual preferences. LGBT blogs don’t have to be about sex, they can be about any kind of subject, that the blogger chooses to write about. Politics is a popular issue, but gay clubs in New York or Cleveland may also be the subject of a gay blog, that’s floating around out there in cyber space. Go visit a gay blog and then decide what you think, but remember there’re thousands out there and some are hysterically funny, others are about more serious topics.

Romanian Politics And Gay People

Even though there have been several advances in Romanian concerning the rights of gay citizens, the country as a whole nonetheless remains fairly conservative and therefore, unreceptive towards homosexuals. Today, in Romania, there are no authorized guidelines against homosexuality. Instead, authorized guidelines have been enacted to protect the homosexual population. Nevertheless, gay people are still not permitted to be joined in marriage even though Romania is needed by the European Union to recognize gay relationships and unions that have taken location in other countries. In 2005, it was declared unconstitutional for any individual to be denied access to in vitro fertilization or IVF. This included all women, including lesbians. In one aspect, the military, Romania is even further accepting of homosexuality than the U.S. Homosexual people are able to openly serve in the military although many still strive to hide their sexual orientation for fear of being discriminated against.

Irish Gang Branches Out Into Bill Collection

And you thought your bill collections agency was bad enough. It has been recently disclosed that a gang boss in Ireland has made a new career move – debt collection. This criminal genius has been linked to twelve murders; a threat even more serious than a collections letter.

Usually, legitimate creditors who aren’t criminals will hire out third party bill collectors to retrieve debts. Collection agencies work on commission, where they receive a portion of the amount of money that they collect. Frequently collection companies will purchase debt from the creditors so that they can collect the whole sum of money owed.

The Irish thugs seemed to have borrowed inspiration from this practice, but the similarities end there. The boss of the notorious Irish gang has established his own collection agency, purchasing debt and using his reputation to bully his way into gathering the money owed. The unfortunate debtors are drug users who are unable to repay dealers.

Reputable collection agencies will usually start with a gentle “reminder letter.” If the debtor is antagonistic or evasive, the letters will become more serious. Telephone calls will be used as well as a reminder to those who owe money to pay up. If these ploys fail, the company has the right to report a debt to credit bureaus, or file a lawsuit.

Conversely, the Irish gangland “collection company” will use its authority as a group of cold-blooded murderers and criminals to bully debtors into paying back drug money. Fortunately, the head of this operation has been arrested, and the Justice Minister of Ireland has sworn to do everything in his power to ensure that the accused will be brought to justice.

So next time you get a phone call from a bill collection agency, try to keep things in perspective. And if you are ever in Ireland, it is probably unwise to take out a loan with a ruthless gang.

Wyoming City Tries To Collect

In the city of Cody, Wyoming, 219 utility accounts were sent for collection. Only four of the bills belonged to property owners. Some are suggesting that the city council consider holding property owners responsible for utility costs that their renters left unpaid. A policy like that could have added $180,000 to the city budget during the past five years, and furthermore, other utility users are subsidizing those that don’t pay their bills.

Landlords are offering fast and obvious objection, asking the city council why it should be their responsibility to pay for a bill that someone else racked up. Another plan has been proposed though, one that would require a deposit from every person opening up a utility account.

This change in policy would involve a number of modifications like a rule that a property owner co-sign for a renter’s account. Tenants would be billed under their own account but have alandlord account open for everu property. Unpaid bills would be transferred to the landlord’s account if the tenant does not pay.

Deposit requirements would go from $150 to $200, and would be necessary for all accounts, regardless of their past credit history. Property owners would be notified of delinquencies, and they would be encouraged to get in touch with the city to determine if the bill got paid before returning rental deposits. All property owners would have to keep utilities in their names.

Proponents of the plan say that it is not out of line with what other cities are doing, and it is a simpler and more cost efficient way to collect money. Collection agencies receive about one third of what they collect in the city, and 60 percent of bills that go to collection remain unpaid.

Whatever decision they arrive to, it should be rapid: city officials are noticing a trend toward fewer people making deposits and more accounts being sent to collection.

Common Law in the USA is the Ghost of English Feudalism. America is Thought to be Based on a Fair Legal System but the Tyranny of Old England Lives on in Our Laws Today.

Common law in the USA is the injustice of the legal system that guards property for the banking mafia. Despite the Founding Fathers having sought a systemic change to get out from under the oppressive reign of the English crown, injustice lives on today.

In the 21st Century, this is still the case. US law in the new millennium is still based on common law from pre-colonial England.

Some of the essence of laws considered to be sacred in the United States actually date back to feudalist England in the 12th Century as is explored by S.F.C. Milsom of Cambridge University in his 2003 book, Historical Foundations of the Common Law and Legal Framework of English Feudalism.

These laws were ‘discovered’ in feudal courts onward based on arguments and the practical decisions of judges in a trial and error basis. In other words, in the US today, the legal system is based, in part, on what the feudal lords and later the Englishmen convinced judges based on the individual interests of accused and plaintiffs at the time.

This contradicts the idea that the modern legal system is based on the common good or on improving society; it is based on a literal trial and error process that began in the 12th Century with the signing of the Magna Carta, where the basic but limited notion of freedom first appears.

The defense of property and the rights of property as a fundamental principle, outweighed any implicit rights for human beings.

From then onwards, common law in the USA and other laws continued to be developed in a process of expanding the rights of defending individual property and the rights of property holders. Thus, naturally evolving over time into the laws of the modern US capitalist society.

The common law system of judges ruling based on custom, or legal precedent has evolved in the United States. Common Law in the USA has been mingled and mixed with a system of equity law over the past two centuries.

Equity Law also comes from England where it was created by the Crown in order to address matters not covered under existing common law. It seeks equity or justice through a set of principles and codes. Common Law in the US also lives alongside a set of codes and principles that are theoretically aimed at leveling the playing field and protecting the weakest.

However, even in a mixed system, the court’s prerogative to stick with custom rather than set precedent in most cases means that common law, which privileges the propertied, usually wins out over laws having to do with moral imperatives and the concept of justice.

This concept, justice, is an abstract concept; yet it is primordial to any society that truly seeks to promote an equality of freedoms.

A series of documents, which on the whole are referred to as the ‘Freedom Charter,’ laid the basis for the foundation of the United States. These documents, drafted and signed by the founding fathers that led the movement to secede from England, are the Declaration of Independence the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights (the first amendments to the US Constitution).

The first of these documents discussed certain inalienable rights of equality that it considered self-evident. The second document laid out the three branch government and its functions, clearly seeking to place greater power, that of making law in the most representative of those branches, the U.S. Congress.

The third was the judicial system, charged with interpreting the law. The third, and no less important of the documents, provided for a number of basic rights of citizens intended to guarantee against dictatorship and protect citizens from the whims of the State overstepping its power.

Common Law in the USA, as in England, has always evolved to meet new circumstances. But a legal system based in custom or in past behavior can also be an obstacle to change and improving society.

The new society that the founding fathers sought to create based on representation, freedom and equality was stillborn on the American Continent. It was held back by a legal system based in the protection of property.

Today, for real change to occur, common law in the USA does not hold the solution. A new legal system based on the future must be created to eliminate the ghost of English feudalism that plagues the American judicial system that only protects the dominant economic order.
