Number of Keywords on a Webpage for SEO

November 14th, 2009

By now everyone knows that keywords and SEO go hand in hand with one another. They are one of the main elements of optimizing your website and they must be paid attention to. However, many people overlook some of the smaller details with keywords that end up making a big difference in your success.

One of the overlooked factors that people don’t give much attention to is how many keywords you should target on a single web page. The truth is that many people want to do too much when they work with SEO. It’s easy to get ahead of yourself and try to cram tons of keywords on one page, assuming that the more you use the better. However, that’s not really the way that it works.

In actuality, SEO takes much more precision than that. There was a time when SEO first picked up steam when that kind of strategy may have worked. At that time, a lack of competition and a lack of sophistication made basic SEO strategies such as this work.

Today, many people practicing SEO try to target too many keywords on a single webpage. They figure, if I have 25 figures I’m trying to rank for, I should try to make every one of my web pages get ranked for all of those keywords. It’s like playing the percentages, giving yourself more options and therefore ensuring that you’ll see great results.

However, in actuality the opposite is true. More is less when it comes to SEO and the number of keywords you are trying to target. By targeting too many on a single web page, you aren’t doing anything but thinning out your focus. You’ll also likely be including so many keywords that your content will come across as spam to both the search engines and your visitors.

So what’s the solution for how many keywords to include? There is no exact number, but a good start is to target 2 to 3 keywords per page with your SEO strategies. Then, if you have a dozen pages on your website and that list of 25 keywords, you can make each page go after about 2, and you’ll be targeting every one of your keywords. You’ll be reducing the overload and making your site much more specific and targeted. Your SEO results will quickly improve and your rankings will soar.

When you divide your keywords up onto individual pages like this for SEO, then you’ll be able to target each and every one of them more effectively. If you have 20 web pages on your site and 50 keywords, you can dedicate each page to two or three of them, expanding your scope and your presence in the search engines.

Therefore it’s important to use common sense and base your judgments according to how much content you have, and what looks natural to you as you look at your page. Remember that with SEO, most people try to do entirely way too much. Keep it simple and keep your focus to 2 or 3 keywords per web page.

Article Submission And All The Things You Should Check For

November 13th, 2009

There are certain things you should not do with article submission. You should not have anything in an article that is offensive. If it is something that you just do not feel right about then you should not try to submit it to an editor and get credit for it.

You will want to make sure that you write about something that is appealing based on the title that you are suppose to write about. You should always research and find out what is appealing to people so that they will want to read your article and so that your editor will be happy with what you submit to them. If they are paying for this work then you should try to do everything you can to make them happy so that you will get paid.

I personally think that you should always proof read an article before you submit it because this ensures that everything in it is right. I can not stress enough just how important it is that you read over everything before you try to submit it. Do not hesitate to do everything that will make your editor happy because this could result in you not getting your pay check on time and having to spend a lot of time fixing your mistakes.

You should not write about anything that is not based on the article title. You should not change the title to suit what you want to write about, you need to focus on the main subject that the company wants you to write about.

You should always make sure that everything in your article is going to make the editor happy this way it looks better for you when you submit another article to them they can trust your work because it was done right before.

The good thing is that some sites will not allow you to submit an article unless it is done to their standards. However sometimes they will let you submit it to them even if there are a lot of typos. This is your job to make sure that you are doing the article right so do not get mad at the editor or company when the article comes back to you and need to be re-written.

You should always make sure that you write good things that people will actually want to read. Write article titles that will catch someones eye and make them want to read it. Use a lot of catch phrases like Secrets, Tips and Shocking. This is the things that make me want to check out and read the articles. I personally want to read articles that have these terms in the title. So, if you can put any of those words in the title then it will for sure get you some brownie points with the editor.

When it comes to article submission there are a lot of steps but they do pay off in the long run and it is worth reading over what you write so that you can learn where you are making mistakes and always fix them if you pay attention to what you are doing later on before you submit another article.

Backlinks are very important to SEO ‘ no backlinks, no good listings. Publish An Article In Maintaining search engine ranking is a daily struggle. As an article submitter, you are going to come across article submission software.

Some Hot Tips On Article Submission

November 12th, 2009

You don’t have to be a literary genius to write good, informative articles for submission to various internet sites and, in the process, earn yourself some extra money. This article will give you some excellent tips on article submission as well as some useful advice on how to go about writing for websites.

The first thing you need to know is that articles for the internet differ a little from articles you read in print. Web articles must be simple and user friendly. Content must be crisp and concise while still being informative. You need to keep the reader’s interest. Make sentences as short as possible. Long, boring sentences are a big no-no.

It’s a good idea to first create the title. A good title will usually help you to write freely and easily. If you have trouble getting into the flow of your article, change the title. This can often clear your mind and put you on a smoother track – the words will soon start flowing. Make your title as creative as possible and don’t be scared to use off-the-wall or trendy titles. A snappy title sets the tone for the rest of the article.

Your introduction must immediately address the subject you’re writing about. In this way, the person who is reading will be interested from the onset and, hopefully, read the article to its end. When writing for the internet, don’t make articles longer than 300-500 words. Remember, the reader is looking at a screen and usually wants information quickly.

Don’t get technical when writing articles for the internet. This can often give the message that you are showing off your knowledge. The information that you are sharing in the article should be presented in a user-friendly way. No matter what subject you’re writing about, keep the tone of the article light. Don’t bombard readers with heavy, superfluous information!

When appropriate, use some humor when writing your internet article. Humor is a great ice-breaker and something that everyone enjoys and your readers will probably want to imbibe everything in the article! Another good idea is to start a couple of paragraphs by posing a question, e. G. ‘Do you really want to waste money on yet another…? Write your articles in English, either American or British. And always ‘talk’ directly to your reader – don’t use ‘I, we, mine’ etc.

Write your article in Notepad or Word. When completed, do a grammar and spell check and proofread carefully. Once you’re happy with the result, your article will be ready for submission. First thing to do is open a PayPal account on the internet so you can get money for your hard work! Now you’re ready to log onto a ‘how to’ site and register.

Once you’re registered, get familiar with the website and have a look at some articles submitted by other writers. If you’re confident that your article matches them, you’re good and ready to submit it. Keep a regular check on your PayPal account for payments. Finally, don’t be disheartened if your first article is not accepted. Stick with it, and success will soon come your way. Happy writing and good luck!

Don’t forget press releases as they provide unique backlinks. http://blinklist.com/arteddi12 All backlinks are not created equal. Automate most of the article process so you can market multiple sites.

Some Facts About Article Submission

November 11th, 2009

If you’re going to get involved with online marketing, then you should definitely learn some facts about article submission. Writing articles and submitting them to directories, forums, and other strategically chosen places, has become one of the most powerful forms of marketing on the internet. It’s a great way to build your site’s popularity, and drive traffic to the advertising you want people to see. When it comes to search engine ranking, article submission can be one of your absolute best friends.

By submitting your articles to the relevant directories, your goals of increasing traffic to your site will appear before you faster than you thought they could. The power of just one well-written article, handled properly, can do more for you than most people realize. Your article must be what’s referred to today as ‘SEO’, or ‘Search Engine Optimized’. This means that the keywords of your article are targeted at your niche, and when your site gets spidered by the search engines, they will give you a higher ranking if your keywords are used in the proper way in your articles.

There is another tool you can use along with your article submission called ‘deep link submission’. The difference between the two is that with deep link submission as opposed to article submission, each page URL is submitted. This will produce a more even distribution of both traffic and back-links to your site. It involves all the pages of your site and not just the homepage as with regular submissions.

There are quite a few things to know about article submission and how to do it effectively. But if you learn it, you can gain an edge over those who don’t. There are lots of sites available for free submission and are ready for you to take advantage of. One of the best effective tips for article submission is to make good use of the resource box. This is sometimes known as the ‘bio’ box. It gives you the chance to leave a link back to your site, and it’s one of the most powerful tools you can utilize along with a good article.

Yet another effective tool when you’re doing article submission and marketing, is a relatively new technology known as RSS feeds. They can be a literal gold mine. It’s absolutely amazing at the amount of traffic that can be generated from one well written article with an RSS feed to go along with your directory submission.

One way of accomplishing your article submission goals, if you’re too lazy or too busy to submit them yourself, is to invest in an article submission software. They are a bit expensive, but when you consider the time it takes you to do it manually, and the number of sales that can be generated by doing it, it may be price effective. If you pay a service to manually submit for you, they may cost you around $15 to $25 a day. But what if you want to submit more than one article a day? That could really start to add up on you.

When it boils down to the core of article submission, your focus should be as much on the content of your articles as it is on where you submit it. Both are vitally important components of your article submission campaign. But if you submit bad content, it doesn’t matter if ten thousand people see it, you won’t get traffic from it. And on the other hand, if you submit good content to the wrong directories, you may get some traffic, but they’re not likely to buy anything you’re selling. So you need to make sure that these two parts of your article submission are in sync.

Learning some facts about article submission is the first order of business for anyone who intends to use article marketing as part of their marketing strategy. It’s a powerful tool, and it’s not to be overlooked or underestimated. But it also needs to be done correctly. So taking the time to research the proper ways of going about it can be both educational and profitable. It’s a fact that good quality articles are money-makers, when article submission is done the right way.

Some sites don’t recover too well after being deindexed. http://www.oyax.com/arteddi12?page_no=1 Use an article submission service and save yourself hours of time. Article submission is a vital part to search engine marketing.

Reasons Why Having a Reliable Web Hosting Is So Important

November 10th, 2009

It is not as easy as you might think to find reliable web hosts. Resellers all promise 99% uptime and there are a number of web hosts competing for customers. The most important thing about a website is to have reliable web hosting. The regularity at which previous customers come back can be determined by it.

The ultra-clever search engines today will impact a sites rating, a low rating will send customers looking for good service elsewhere.

Why is reliable web hosting a requirement? I immediately thought of your peace as a factor. Think of being ready to update your website and not being able to because the server isn’t working. Customers expect good service and will not return to a website that does not offer it. Obstacles have to be dealt with as soon they have been identified, to avoid repeating the same mistakes which cause companies to fail.

When is it critical to have one? It’s important anyway, very important unless you have a website you aren’t too concerned about people seeing. Today’s new search engine methods mean that reports are made each time a URL is inaccessible and this can lead to a drop in search engine rankings after so long.

Running a business through your website though makes it critical to have a reliable webhost. You need at least 99 % uptime, this may seem excessive to you, but in today’s modern technology it is perfectly possible to find web hosting businesses that can manage and in some cases even exceed this percentage.

If your webhost has slow service then the chances of getting traffic to your site would be real low. This is affecting your earning ability, thus losing you potential revenue. If you hire someone is to try and help your business, not to help you lose money like the webhost

How do I know if my webhost is reliable? You don’t, not at first. There are ways though that you can use to find out how likely they are to be reliable, or not. There are free tools now on the internet which help you monitor up and downtime, and these are becoming more and more popular in the race to be top of the search engines.

More and more people are realizing the importance of server uptime, and these tools can become an invaluable resource if your webhost isn’t communicating too well with you. If you are with a decent webhost then the likelihood is, you’ll either receive an email advising you of planned downtime, or there will be a portal on the webhosts website advising of any problems. Webhosts who hide this sort of information do so for a reason, and that is because they’re frightened you’ll go elsewhere.

Do you need a dedicated server? Alojate.com is the best web hosting company in Mexico, offering a range of solutions for every business needs. Servidores dedicados, factura electronica, web hosting & registro de dominios.

Would You Know The Reason Why Many Internet Business Individuals Fail?

November 9th, 2009

For a lot of aspiring online entrepreneurs, that beginning stage of their studying process is considered to be the hardest part of it all. This is because they still have no idea which of the info they actually find online is worth spending their time and which may just be considered as garbage info. The most important thing you need to understand if you are to really aspire for that much sought after goal of doing business online is that there are proven ways to do it. And that there’s no need to reinvent the wheel anymore.

Almost every individual who gets to understand the highly attractive benefits of creating income via the internet becomes so overjoyed during that very moment of hearing each and every promising possibility. The sad truth though, is that many of these overjoyed individuals will feel this excitement really short lived, there maybe be a few who can sustain their positive emotions quite longer than others but still, the bottom point is that excitement will be ended as soon as these people find out about the whole truth in creating an online income.

Now, let’s get to the main question, why do most wannabe internet money makers fail?

One thing that most online entrepreneur aspirants don’t realize is that they tend to get really hyped up at first, and this is the reason why a lot of them would head on straight right where the action is without even assessing the entire game whether it is probable for them to succeed or not.

This goes the same as when you are trying to establish your business online. The internet industry is just so huge swarming with all sorts of opportunities. And without proper guidance and planning, you could easily lose your way around and thus find yourself going in circles leading nowhere.

The Right Knowledge + Positive Passion = Internet Business Success

Due to unlimited possibilities you can create on the internet, no one can deny the fact there are plenty of options for making good source of income. And so, this now brings us to the point of asking this: why do only very few online aspirants really do make it there on top? Here is the best answer to that question, most of these individuals simply began their journey with the incorrect type of opportunity plus the wrong way of thinking. You can easily find out if you are not on the right path now with the following questions:

First – do you have passion for the kind of online business you choose to establish?

Being passionate at whatever you are trying to undertake will keep you standing firm on the ground and just brave the storm that may come along the way. This will in return help you think of possible unique ideas to help you along the way and beat the competition.

Second – is financial gain your main objective why you are pursuing such goal?

No goal has successfully been achieved and established with money as the main motivating factor. Yes money can motivate you for a while but not for long. When money is your main measure for success, then this could easily give you reason to jump from one venture after another each time you don’t see the potential for creating fast instant money.

However, study people whose passion for success was driven by deeper meanings and emotional concerns, and you will discover about people that have attained the highest level of successes in life.

There are many success stories about businesses becoming successful on the internet. The troubling thing is, there are maybe a tenfold or even a hundredfold of stories going the other way. While many launch an internet based business enterprise, only a handful succeed.

To have a successful business online it takes much more than luck It takes good business sense, the eagerness to succeed, and the determination to learn. It also takes the willingness to invest in a lot of hard work and some money.

Traffic is something all successful businesses have. Without traffic, all your effort is wasted. Every business needs customers. In the internet world traffic is the walk in customer. The more traffic you have, the better your chance of selling your service or product.

The greater the number that visit your site and browse your merchandise, the greater number of people will buy your products. It is a simple fact that unlike any business, not everyone that goes in will buy.

There are ways to get free advertising, but they do not generate the same high volume of traffic. When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for your traffic. Link Building

November 6th, 2009

There are various levels of search engine optimization – the science of making a website popular in search engine result pages, and one of the most powerful techniques there is link building.

SEO has undergone a lot of changes in the decade since it has been around, but a few of the fundamentals have not changed, and one of the key aspects that have not changed is the creation of back links. There are two kinds of links that a webmaster can build:

1. One way links

2. Reciprocal links

As one can probably guess from the name, a one way link is a link that goes from one site to another, and that’s it, whereas a reciprocal link is where two different sites link to each other in an attempt to benefit both of them. However, search engines are now sophisticated enough to detect reciprocal links and they don’t particularly like them because they mean that a mutual agreement has been made between those sites and that they are trying to force their way up the ranks, and so they are not worth as much as one-way links.

Link building is a very specialized field and unlike what a lot of people think, they don’t come easy! Just going on to a forum or a blog and putting up a few back links leading to your sites in the comments column is not link building. High quality links are built from blogs and websites which have a high page rank, and they are not easy to find! The Catch 22 situation here is that the minute search engines sense that a particular high PR website is putting up too many links, the page rank comes down! So the webmaster should be wise enough to strike a balance between page rank and the number of links he has on the site.

To avoid using any techniques that search engines may disapprove of and getting your site thrown out of the rankings completely, you will want to hire a top quality, professional SEO consultant to guide you through the minefield.

What SEO Tools Are Must Have

November 6th, 2009

I get a lot of questions about what SEO tools I find beneficial and what tools I use. The fact is I use a lot of software, and I hate to really say any specific one is better than the other, but I thought I would write an article that describes what type of tools you need to at least get started in SEO. The fact is like any trade you are going to need tools, and some do require an investment.

The first tool I use any time I am doing any SEO project is a keyword tool. There are tools like Good Keywords, The Google Adwords Keyword Tool and even Wordtracker. I really think anything in terms of keyword research that you pay for is a waste of money. All I look for is how many searches a term gets a month, then from there I can decide if I want to spend the time targeting it or not.

Probably after keyword research the most important thing you will need is some tool that will help you build links. Anything from a tool that helps send emails to webmasters requesting links to a tool that actually builds links for you. There are also a lot of courses out there that teach you link building strategy. You need to get as many of these tools as you can.

The next tool that I think you will use the most is a tool that tells you where you rank in Google. I use a free tool that will tell you where you rank in Google as long as you are in the top 1000. This tool is free and it is an excellent thing because I can literally monitor where my pages are in Google and see any progress or results from search engine work I have done.

SEO without a doubt does require several tools. You can find most of the above tools that will do the work for you for free. Use those tools until you really start to see results, and your site starts making sales. Once you are making sales then you will be able to buy any tool you want. Some courses are better too, if you can learn to build links without buying software you are even better off.

SEO – How Much Content on a Web Page

November 5th, 2009

Many people overlook an important element of proper SEO, which is how much content should go on a page for your website in order to be ranked highly. Of course, as with all areas of SEO, many people have many different opinions and thoughts regarding this matter. The end result that you should stick with will be different from someone else, because you will have your own specific needs, goals and concerns. Despite the differences that may arise though, there are a few concrete guidelines that you can follow.

Some people feel that doing the minimum amount of work for anything to produce the maximum amount of results is the smartest strategy. In truth though, with SEO, the more content you have the better for your site. Every page on your website that you want to get ranked in the search engines has to provide something that enables that. A page with just a dozen words won’t rank, because there’s hardly anything there. Not only are you not associating yourself with your targeted market, but the page isn’t providing any true value. Therefore, the more content the better for SEO, as a very general guideline to begin your work.

Pages that provide solid, unique information get rewarded, and that’s another important SEO principle to remember. Even though more content is generally better than none, you don’t get rewarded for having worthless content. Stuffing your page with keywords and random text for example won’t get you ranked at all, and could even cause your rankings to take a hit as a result. Additionally, copying text and content from other websites and adding them to your own isn’t going to do you any good either.

A minimum for any page on your website that you are trying to get ranked in the search engines with SEO should be approximately 250 words. With that said, there is nothing wrong with a content page with 1,000 or 2,000 words of content, as long as it’s all on topic, and it doesn’t look bad in the layout of your website. Most webmasters like to break those longer pages up into multiple smaller pages to keep everything more aesthetically pleasing, while also providing more opportunities to get individual pages ranked highly in the search engines.

It’s really all about providing a satisfactory level of content, that meets the expectations both of search engines and the people who actually visit your website. If you get ranked highly with your SEO strategies, but fail to provide anything of real value, visitors won’t end up buying your product or taking any action that you wanted. Alternatively, with content that provides value but isn’t optimized with SEO, you’ll never gain any ground in the search engines.

Be sure to include plenty of informative, unique and useful content on all of your pages in order to boost your SEO success. However, don’t feel that you need to be excessive or that you should throw any kind of mumbo-jumbo or retread words up on your site for fast results. Say what you need to say, include the appropriate keywords and your site’s SEO will be improved dramatically.
